Breakfast at Tiffany's - 3 Stars (Good)
Was there ever an actress who these four timeless quality, beauty, fashion, elegance and humility better than Audrey Hepburn? I think not, especially when I see them again in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Even an actress who could get close (and I can not believe no one) would in no way correspond to the humility of Audrey Hepburn. We do not see them in our lives and others since then the film industry can be done in the way some newerbetter technology, which comes to us unknown.
One more reason to buy their five most memorable movies on DVD now, while they are still there.
First, it would be best actress Oscar performance in Roman Holiday opposite Gregory Peck, who was also her first leading role in an American movie.
The next four would be best actress Oscar nominations for Sabrina, The Nun's Story, Wait Until Dark (one of the scariest movies I've ever seen) and breakfastTiffany's (the Oscar went to Sophia Loren for Two Women).
Breakfast at Tiffany's had two great riches, Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly, a young New York high society (eg, celebrities, because this film was released in 1961, 45 years), and director Blake Edwards, whose skilled, sensitive management of Hepburn's character (an expensive prostitute) would not have done better.
Holly Golightly of beauty, fashion sense and pure innocence keeps me from thinking of it asWomen in the night. She is by nature so elegant. God is not a woman, better dressed Audrey Hepburn could wear. Holly Golightly has outstanding Givenchy clothes with incomparable grace and glamor.
Breakfast at Tiffany's Truman Capote's novel, with screenplay by George Axelrod, who also received an Oscar nomination is based. Henry Mancini (music) and Johnny Mercer (lyrics) have joined forces to win an Oscar for original song "Moon River," while another earns ManciniOscar and a Grammy for best film music.
The story has two romantic interests depend on others for financial assistance, Holly, as a lady of the night and Paul Varjak (George Peppard), an aspiring writer who is in possession of Failenson wealthy married woman (Patricia Neal) is. Finally, Holly and Paul experience some personal growth and find love together.
There are moments in this film only to find places in your heart forever. One is on the meeting HepburnFire Escape plaintive song "Moon River," especially considering that the problem was your senior prom Moon River, and who were with the girl who wanted to spend the rest of your life. This is a rare opportunity to hear Hepburn sing in the movie.
He took singing voice for the role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, only to find that professional "singing room" Marni Nixon had overdubbed all his songs. Hepburn was not nominated for Best Oscar winning actress in this film, but his love interest Rex Harrison Best Actor Oscar for his role as Professor Henry Higgins.
taken the "little black dress" of Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's was designed by Givenchy and sold at auction at Christie's this year (2006) for $ 920,000 with the proceeds goes to support needy children in India. Has not been worn by Hepburn in the film. The only two dresses she wore are now in the Givenchy archives and the Museum of Costume> Madrid, Spain.
Audrey Hepburn in performance, there are times we are met by the sweet innocence of a woman. You can not imagine how hard to find in this world today.
Audrey Hepburn was a beauty and fashion icon, and although she liked fashion, has set up cheap, prefer to lose, comfortable clothing away from the lights and cameras.
I want to give, Breakfast at Tiffany's' a credit, but can not becauseToo many mistakes in the film. I can easily give Audrey Hepburn a excellent rating for her performance as Holly Golightly.
After 15 years of success as an actress Audrey Hepburn chose to lead a quieter life away from Hollywood. She was married twice before and the actor Mel Ferrer and Italian doctor Andrea Dotti and had a son with each.
Hepburn was Belgian-born and would grow with her mother in the Netherlands, almost starved during the Nazi occupationWorld War II, when the Dutch food and fuel were cut off. Tragically, he suffered through the observation of his uncle and cousins to death, shot for the resistance.
He rose from the terrible atrocities of their youth for fame and fortune are in America and in the last four years of his life (1988-1992) became a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).
Only four months before his death from abdominal cancer, went on aMission in Somalia has been devastated and see the nightmare of famine and slaughter.
Audrey Hepburn was the image of beauty, fashion and beauty, but never for a minute to go They had the success, the head, and certainly has not led an extravagant lifestyle of Hollywood debauchery so much in evidence in the creation Tinseltown movie and now.
See Breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey Hepburn, because it was an important factor for our time and culture. They represent not only the best in professionalGrowth, but a legacy of his life with his personal growth. He was a model of grace and humility in a world with a bit of everything.
