Messi Hailed in Madrid

Everyone expects FC Barcelona to win and Leo Messi does not disappoint the fans. In fact, he exceeds all expectations in both La Liga and Copa Del Rey. Latest encounter with Atletico Madrid was another proof of his quality. The young striker defeated the hosts after a stellar performance which saw him score his second hattrick in his career.
The first hattrick dated back to March 10th 2007, it was against Real Madrid in the Camp Nou, but unfortunately it only served for a draw as Madrid also had scored 3 goals. Last night however, it was different, Messi showed that he is special and magical and from a different world from other players.
One can say without any doubt that Leo Messi is already the best in the world. Both FC Barcelona fans and even the Atletico Madrid ones agreed yesterday as they clapped their hands for a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 80th minute of the match.
Pernia, Heitinga and the other defenders will surely have nightmares as Messi gave them headaches throughout the match. Heitinga also got himself expelled after receiving a red card.
It is clear that after such a performance Pep Guardiola will have no doubts that Leo Messi will be the future of FC Barcelona and the beginning of an excellent new project and he has more young players form Barca B team to choose from.
Leo said after the match "It's nice when you go to another stadium as this one, which isn't yours, yet the people treat you so well. It was special and really inexplicable and I thank the fans of Atletico," said the FC Bacelona striker who then commented on his performance. "It's nice to score three goals but what really matter is that the team won the match," he said in his usual humble tone.
Finally, with 3 goals scored last night, Messi positioned himself above Samuel Eto'o as FC Barcelona top goal scorer with 19 goals, while Eto'o has 18.
